Personally, I really love oddball doubled dies. There will usually be certain types/areas of doubling that are very common on coins of certain date-ranges, but every now and then there will be one that looks like nothing else produced that year, decade, or maybe ever. Three of my favorites are 1998-P WDDR-018 LMC:  1992-P WDDO-002 LMC:  1990-P WDDO-004 LMC:  Hope to find one or more of these some day, but sadly they all seem exceedingly rare. What are some of your favorite lesser-known doubled dies? |

I like the reverse 180 ones. The ones that just leaves little hints that it was struck twice, like looking at it's self in the reflection of a lake or something.

E&V I have a couple listing, you right its kinda cool having your name in the books, on the list. I am hoping the 1969 P I just sent to MR Wiles gets on the list as a new DDO. Not to many DDO 69 P's only two listed I think. It would be nice to get a new one to hunt for. |

Some really great examples everyone. Nice examples on multiple denominations, QH72 and that is impressive doubling on LIBERTY on that '87D John. Hope I remember to put it on my radar.
Everyone else has added some impressive examples as well.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
