Are all 1871 Indian head proofs the "shallow n" type? And what's the value of an PR63 1871 Indian head? I'm finding multiple values per multiple sources. Thanks

I don't have a picture of a specific coin. This was just a question about the types and values.
That is, are all 1871 Indian head proofs the "shallow n" variety? And what is the value of a 1871 PR63 and is there a difference is values or proof if the shallow n and bold n varieties exist?

difficult to find definitive pricing on PR IHC varieties

Numismedia does not price varieties

PCGS shows auction prices and some common varieties but does not list varieties for these. you can use the average prices received as a starting point but I'm not sure what this variety would add to those prices

your only source online that I'm aware of is an ebay search and looks for sales or find a collector or LCS that is familiar with them

According to Snow, there are both shallow and bold N proofs. Looks like 2 die pairings for each variety. He says almost all proofs are shallow N, and that the bold N proofs are comparatively rare.

The value would really depend on eye appeal and color, proof indians can really vary in value.
