Hello all,

My father had this coin for quite awhile and we do not know what material or what era it came from.

My father thinks its an old coin before the 1500's, but I am not comfortable with that because this coin has a rim.

Is it possible that this coin could be a fake or am I jumping the gun?

A very worn copper half penny from the UK. Minted at the Soho mint in 1806 or 1807. Date is below bust. Size is about 29 mm. If larger it is a penny, if smaller a farthing (= quarter penny). Common coin, even in better condition.
