Hi there,
Got this in a job lot and decided to take some good photos. What do we think of the grade and possible value?

It might get an EF designation if it didn't have these two problems...

- scratches on the obverse.
- major wear on the back of the bun and where it runs to the ribbons below it.

Very close to EF-40.

Large rosebud variety.
It looks like there is a dent (yes/no?) from the reverse which caused the ribbon area on the obverse to wear out quickly.
I'd say VF-30, tops, but if the black in the leaves is rust, that and the dent will kill the value. $5

Good eye, Terry ... I never saw that and it does look like a dent.
