I cleaned few Old roman coins and found this in the lot....I cant figure out what it is,kinda looks like an angel or woman with wings. The other si9de is too corroded to get a pic...can anyone help?
It is a commemorative issue from Constantine the Great.
Obv:- CONSTANTINOPOLIS, Helmeted and laureate Constantinopolis bust left Rev:- No Legend, Victory standing left on prow of a galley, holding transverse spear across her body and shield
It was produced at a number of mints and without being able to see the letters in exe. it will be difficult to narrow the mint down.
