I have a friend that has an 1862 NB 20 cent that has a nicely offset repunched 8. Has there ever been anything posted on any site about this type repunch? I know that there's mules and vertical 6 & 2 position anomalies, but I can't find anything about the "8".

Anyone got any info on these?

There are at least 3 different NB 1862 20c repunched 8 types, one of them appears to be a triple punched 8.

They are not particularly rare, but lovely nonetheless.

I'm working on a Provincial error book too
