Hello all,

Not sure if this is a clip but the cut out sure does look clean.

Thoughts anyone? Thanks for viewing.

Not a true clip, if you look on the obverse side , you can see the displaced metal. That is only from post mint damage, a true clip happens before the coin is struck..

I'm thinking that the damage may have been made with a grinding wheel. {õ¿õ}

Thanks silverwolf.

I agree about the metal displacement on the obverse. I have a few clips and none of them have this characteristic.

I just expected there be more damage to the coin.

Curve radius is wrong for it to be a Mint clip.

No Blakesley affect. I feel this coin was altered to try to home make an error coin to cash in on a phony.
