That's a pretty nice find! Do you know about how much that could be worth? When CRHing do you skim the whole coin looking for errors?

Sam, not a good idea to hold coins like this cent in your hands/fingers. I realise it's difficult to show coins edgewise, but invest in a pair of cotton gloves (your local coin shop will have them)... even if you think your fingerprints can't damage an already less than perfect coin, it's a good practice to get into.

@Merclover it's already in highly circulated brown condition and I held it by the edges with washed fingers...

Sam, I spoke up not to be mean, it was to be helpful. There are many here (me included) that cringe whenever we see fingers on coin. Yes, I understand it was well circulated, again, just trying to be helpful.

Thanks MercLover, didn't mean to sound snippy. I did take precautions to handle the coin with what I considered appropriate care given its condition

@joethelucky Sorry, just saw your question! I don't really have any idea about value as I don't buy coins for my collection (since I prefer to find them myself), and I have not bothered to sell anything either. I would guess somewhere in the range of 2-10 bucks though. Doubt it's any more than that. When coin roll hunting, my protocol is to look at both sides of the coin, flipping it over about the equator to check for die rotation errors as well, then I put it under the microscope to look for any known varieties for that year including obverse/reverse design varieties, doubled dies, and RPMs. I use the sites variety vista, wexler's die varieties, and coppercoins for reference material.
