i have looked all over the internet and cant seem to find the answer to how much does an empty 38mm direct coin capsule(without rubber rim) weigh? all I can find is the weight of like 100 of them .

If it's 100 of the same kind your looking for couldn't you divide the weight by 100?

I can think of three different manufacturers of 38mm direct fit capsules. Make sure you get the weight for your brand of interest.

FYI... I have bought some bulk air tights from time to time... Along with the AirTite brand name ones.
I recently picked up a Dansco Album for my ASE's and when I took the ASE's out of the bulk air tights, about a third of them were cracked or broken.
They were stored in a wood display box with a velvet/cloth lining with depressions for each coin, so the were not dropped or mishandled in any way - just age.
Some of those coins had tarnish on the rims...
They are pricey, but the AirTite brand may be the way to go... I'm not buying bulk ones anymore
