Kennedy half dollars from the annual Uncirculated US Mint sets are obviously "uncirculated". Yet the description for the Kennedy halves from the Mint Rolls and Bags says that these coins have a "circulation finish".

I am presuming there is a difference. Are they both considered equally "uncirculated"? Is one strike better or more preferable than the other?

Thanks!

Mint set coins are minted with higher pressure and at a lower speed than coins released for circulation, so there is a difference even if it is difficult to see.

Technically the Kennedy half dollars minted for bags are rolls are minted for circulation, even though they are not released into circulation.

Hi Singer, I have information on your "hungry cat spoon" and a question on if you found the maker. Is your intention to sell?

Clonmorlinn,

First of all !

I don't want to derail my own thread but I did want to answer your question.

If the item you're referring to is the Irish Soup Ladle then I've listed it on ebay here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/283903910517

I could not find information about the maker as that hallmark is somewhat worn. But all other hallmarks are preserved.

As for value, ?

Thanks!
