I got bored late tonight so I went in the cash office and cracked open a Loomis box of quarters and to my surprise, all Alaska Quarters in shrink wrap. I said wow, we get new rolls all the time but they are usually paper wrapped from String & Sons. Got one of those. Then I cracked open a box of dimes, first roll I pick up has a silver dime in it. Then about half way through the box another silver dime. Last row of rolls yielded 2 more silver. After breaking the rolls I split the 4 with the office cashier and walked away smiling. I got a 42d mercury, and a 62p. Not bad for 20 cents! About 30 minutes later the office cashier presents me with a 1969 $10.00 bill. I gladly take it. And I also got a 44 wheat for my trade in bag. A good day indeed!

Yeah. I've never seen one either. But... My son is at college and has absolutely no interest in coins. But he does save all his spare change and then "sells" it to me when he comes home for breaks.

Well, the last time he had a 64-D dime and a 61D quarter. He didn't even realize it. Was kind of mad when he discovered that he had "lost" about $3 in the deal!

I'll turn him into a collector yet!

Nice catches in that silver.

It has been a long time since I got one.
