Old guy. Not collected in many, MANY years and just as a youngster. Trying to find an interest/hobby again. Bought this recently to complete a 19th Century/20th Century type collection to pass on for its historic significance to whatever family member may appreciate my effort and... have some fun doing it. On the way from Spain and looks near MS 66 grade to me. Comments appreciated as I intend to write a discussion of why I put the collection together and how my futer generations , if they sell it, should have some info on grading and value. *** Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. ***Edited by jaberwoke 06/13/2020 8:03 pm

Could you crop your pics and enlarge them, please? And tell us about the luster if you would.

Thanks for responding. I'm new to the forum and may make some errors so please forgive. I won't have it in hand for a month or more. This is the sellers photography.

Appears to be a reproduction of sorts to me.

Also, I use Win and a browser and open photos in new tab and then enlarge using the Control and + key on my browser to see enlarged photos.

I don't think it's a repro. Looks like a machine double at the "2" which I've seen on others I've looked at. I also don't think it's cleaned. No marks as such and very light tarnish spots.

Asked above about the luster and perhaps different pics. Does not appear natural here.

With all the hullabaloo about this coin , it has a nice die crack on reverse at 11:00 . Cleaned coin , not a sharp strike .

It seems also cleaned to me and if there is 1 country I avoid buying from is Spain. They sell reproductions banknotes/coins and cleaned coins all the time so you need to be very knowledgeable to differentiate.

It screams "cleaned" to me. And only AU.

You say it's been cleaned. Explain, as I see no evidence of cleaning.

The luster on this coin is flat looking and washed out. An original luster coin would have some cartwheel affect which even shows up in photos. AU-58 details, cleaned.

Perhaps you should have confided in us first before you bought it ? If the coin is not already in transit you may want to consider canceling the purchase .
