I want you guys to help me confirm that I have the 1964 D/D FS 501 nickel. A very rare variety and I want to make sure I have it before I ship it out to be graded.

You can buy a clip on magnifier for your phone for not much money. We need a good clear close up of the mint mark. John1

rather than a magnifier for your phone, I suggest a cheap USB microscope. You can find them online for only 10-15 dollars, and they'll be much better for most variety and error coin photography than the magnifier would be.

Just now actually realized the location of the mint mark on my coin is further away. Maybe you are correct. Yes, I think I need a USB microscope to take better pictures. Thank you guys for the information and clarification.
