Hello. Nuanced grading of Barber coins doesn't get much help from the Red Book, which as an example only refers to wear on "Liberty" for obverse grading assistance. This 1907-O coin has far less flatness than most VG, even VG-10, even though "Liberty" here is incomplete. Might this one make the F-12 grade?

with VG-10. It has a number of obverse hits, but I still think it's a nice example with good color. In order to make F-12, a Barber quarter needs, among other things, all letters in LIBERTY to be visible, although they may be weak.

Personally, I think it DOES have some issues, particularly those obverse scrapes, but just guessing it would straight-grade.
