I found a container of old East Africa 5 and 10 cents coins. I'm probably going to sell them away, but I want to make sure they are authentic (found way too many fake coins in my late father collection). They seem fine to be so far, but I want some second opinions.

I picked out a couple from what seemed to be the 'rarer' years and took some close ups. A 10 cents from 1923 and a 5 cents from 1941.

In average used condition these are quite common and low value. No sense in faking.

Forgers mainly target the higher value items, that are worth their time.

A rough way to know if your item has some value is usually how the item has been kept, if it's in a album there's a higher chance you have something interesting.

They look genuine to me and I've seen quite a few East Africa coins -- with the caveat that one can make a better judgment if one can hold the coins in their hands. The weights appear slightly off but it could be a variance in your scale.
