Here is an email I just got from ebay. They are requiring sellers to switch to a new payment method and not allowing a bunch of listings - like COINS.

Why can't they leave things alone that work? I predict major problems with the new payment method.

"Certain items are not allowed to be listed by sellers participating in managed payments, even though those items may be allowed on ebay.
All sellers must follow the guidelines in ebay's Prohibited and restricted items policy. Sellers who are participating in managed payments have some additional restrictions on what they can list.
What is the policy?
Sellers enrolled in managed payments are not allowed to list the following items:
Adult only items, including movies and video games
Auction services
Bullion
Coins & paper money
Gift cards & coupons
Lodging, timeshares, vacation packages, and car rentals
Memberships for campground and RV parks
Motor vehicles
Smoking cessation products including nicotine patches and gum
Tickets for travel, events, or experiences
Wine
Listings that don't follow these rules may be removed from the site or from search results. Other actions we may take include lowering a seller's rating, charging additional fees, limiting buying and selling privileges, or suspending an account."

ebay is still going to allow coin sales.
BUT
If they don't continue to allow PayPal, I'll go elsewhere.

Where can I find this info?

I just called ebay and they told me that "Managed Payments" will be required of all sellers by the end of this year. They also told me that the list of restricted items will be enforced. Whoever is handling "Managed Payments" does not want high risk items!

They are supposed to get back to me on Wednesday with more details.

Well I read some of that ( ebay still bans me from their chat sites). But the live link on their website says otherwise. Here is the link they just sent me:

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/...licy?id=5009

Don't you know when this all goes into effect, it will be a disaster for ALL sellers. Every time they come out with a major change, things go wrong.

The official statement said, " ebay will continue to allow sales of coins, paper money and bullion now and in The future"
Quote from the Coin World article concerning this subject .
ebay is not stopping coin sales . To state otherwise is just not correct .

Further, " ebay sellers that frequently list in coins, paper money and bullion will not be required to register for managed payments until these categories are compatible. Until then, there is no action required and sellers can continue to sell on ebay as they do today."
Additional quote from the article in Coin World June5/20.
