Help With This 2018-P Quarter - Flat Rim Obverse / Sheared Details Reverse

Hi,
I was looking through a box of quarter this weekend and found a few interesting finds. This one in particular caught my eye and I'm just not sure if it is an error or damage. The obverse has a noticeable flattening of the rim, but other obverse details seem OK. The reverse looks like a normal rim, but part of the details are clearly missing. Would appreciate your thoughts and what might have caused this error or damage to occur.
