This is the result of a little late night shopping last night. They had me it at "hello" scenario. I, myself, can hardly wait to see how this coin looks in the light. I wish I kept the coin's description from the website but the impulse buy had me not thinking straight at the moment. Let me know what you think. Seller's pics. I'll post some more to capture the eye appeal once it arrives if the eye appeal is there. Better closeups as well needed for sure.....I found the description in another computers history....Viva la history function! Thick lustrous surfaces illuminate with color. The obverse blends pewter-gray with a touch of green pastel. The reverse captures a layered rainbow of lime, fuchsia, and royal blue. The strike is sharp and the eye appeal is fantastic!

Some great toning on the reverse! That is a very nice Seated Liberty quarter. Are you building a Seated Liberty quarter set?

Slowly but surely....but mostly slowly. I'm taking Coinfrog's advice and will pick higher grades when I can get them. It'll be expensive. I have an MS 1879 in sight from a dealer down the road..say 40 minutes... from me. When I get my next piece in the Seated Liberty quarter run it will be that one if it is still there....focus on the 1879 - 1889 run for bit.

A beauty! I know that seller, I've griped about his photos more than once before.

Oh yes, there's a Maryland connection there indeed with the seller.

Is that graffiti at 2 o'clock on the obverse, or just scratches on the slab? I'm guessing scratches on the slab if it got a 63...
