Hi everyone,
A little while ago I discovered three German error coins. I have made pictures of two of them today. The first one is a two hundred Mark coin fron 1923 Weimar Republic. The word Mark is doubled, and easy enough to see with the coin held in hand with a 5X magnification loop. It's not the strongest strike however, and looks to me like a ghost image. I had the coin over a year before I discovered the error. And it took at least another year before I could determine what the error was as I never see mint errors on foreign denominations. The second coin is from the Third Reich and is a two Mark coin from the Munchen mint in 1939. I will upload the third coin as soon as I can. I have been unsuccesful looking through PCGS or NGC for information about any of them. If any of you have any knowledge about these, any information would be welcome. And if you know of any collectors who might have a serious interest in them please contact them. The third coin is, I think a die-clash, which I believe is from Germany's Imperial period, with the wings of the German eagle featuring prominently enough through the face of the coin. Sorry I've misplaced it for the moment. Hope to hear from someone soon as I would like to send some things off to auction before the years end. I appreciate your years of collecting and am grateful you are here.
All the best.
