Hi everybody,
I have in front of me an 1918 1/2 Mark. It is from the Stuttgart mint. And I think the error is known as a die-clash. But maybe it is known as a strike-through. These type of errors are fairly new to me. The coin appears to be in a high mint state, maybe an MS64 or MS65, or better. I took a couple pictures of it. But I can't easily see the error in my photos. What do you think ? can you see it ? What type of error is this ? How can I hook a microscope up to my cellphone camera so as to take much clearer and up close photos ? With a 5X loop the eagles feathering is obvious. I hoped it would be evident in the pictures I took. But it looks like I have more to learn. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks for taking the time to see what I had to say.
Peace.
