I know copper and zinc make brass. I saw online to see if coin is coated by looking at rim, it says it always wears off at the rim. This coin is same shade even on the rim. Its weight is 3.1g. I thought maybe it was whizzed or toned by heat but it says that it will leave microscopic fractures in coin, this has none. Any thoughts? Could it be bad batch at Mint or Bronze?

Looks normal to me. Just has more original mint luster.

Copper takes on all sorts of colors in different environments. Nothing special here.
