I believe, long beard.
For years I've had two that puzzled me. The top image is of a proclamation medal taken from the original dies, but the bottom image is a piece that I'm unsure of. It's coated base metal which makes me think that it may well be a later forgery.

I have been looking at pictures of long and short beard, and thought perhaps it was short. nteresting pieces you got there. Gotta love a mystery piece :)
