This one was spotted hiding in the first roll of 14 customer wrapped rolls I picked up at bank today. Am only on coin 16 of first roll...maybe there's more? Threw me off as the FS-102 until I recognized the die irregularity between S T of TRUST. Surpring strength of doubling even in a very late die state. Looks to be original in about AU 55. Enjoy.

Nice find!

Found one a few weeks ago as well when I could still get bank rolls. How are you still able to get ahold of rolls right now!?!

The banks in my area are happy to hand over any and all customer wrapped rolls of any denomination. So far other than some obscure press release by Kansas City Fed Resv on coin shortage it hasn't affected me order wise as long as it's not an attention grabbing amount. $500 boxes halfs ok, $1,000 small dollars ok, cents dimes nickels 2 brick limit.
The 14 rolls were a dealers dump of MS62-64 1971 D, 1976, 1973 D , 73 P tear outs from mint sets? They have that celephane blue toning.
24 of the 1971 D coins were extreme late die state from same die, looks like they picked the gems out and chucked the 62's in these rolls. Great wobbly orange peel affect on these.
No other doubled dies in batch.
These 2 rolls of MS BU 1999 P Susan B's were at my credit union wrapped in Looms Rolls - looks like feds are dumping some of the sackloads in their vaults out to Looms? Their always mixed with Sac's, glad Looms just dumped them without mixing. Believe the 99 Susan B's greysheet at $80 roll for original roll. Most these 64's some 65's.

I am not sure your Half Dollar would be the FS-101, 71D DDO-004/DDR-002. There are 3 or 4 doubled dies in the CONECA listings that match the doubling in your photos. A good way to confirm the 71D FS-101 is to look for a marker, short die gouge above the C in AMERICA, see attached photos of Stage A and Stage C for the 71D DDR-002 in my collection. I can see that die gouge on Stages A-D for the FS-101. You can also see that gouge in the photo in Variety Vista, for the DDR-002, to help confirm the FS-101.

This one is a FS-102. 'IN' is doubled. Something is not figured out yet. The doubling is different from the FS-102, but the FS-101 doesn't match on the 'IN' area. Still looking at this one.
This is FS-102

TRUST doesn't match on the OP's coin. Still Working on it.

If it doesn't have the die gouge above the C in AMERICA, FS-101, DDO-004/DDR-002, try DDO-007, DDO-013, or DDO-015. I don't think that the TRUST in his photos (R and U) match the FS-102, 71D DDO-006).

Mintmark location is a match to FS-101. So you might check to see if any of the die scratches match your coin in the different stages listed on V.V? Wexler didn't have a listing for this mint?
