Hi, Just curious. I came across this 1930s Wheat penny and put it aside, first for it's age, and second because it seems so shiny for its age. The images really show the scratches, but I was wondering if due to it's age it might still be collectable in this condition. It was hard for me to capture the colour, but in hand it looks red and polished. Thanks,

To my eye, this looks like a highly polished VF coin. to the CCF!

Could you post a higher resolution, closer in photo of the WE area (obverse)? Would like to see what that linear trace is.

I found it hunting in a bag of wheat pennies. I for sure did not clean it, but I cannot speak for its 90 year history.

finding older 'S pennies in circulation is not common anymore. nice find but the value has been shot by being polished. coin is not really collectable except to fill a hole
