trust of In God We Trust, rev of 1881s. Is this die doublng, tripling or not?

Please explain your answer - I truly want to know how to interpret what I see here.

In my newbie's opinion. The letters seem to have Machine Doubling. Still doubling...

I can see possible Strike Doubling but I also see what appears like hub doubling, because of "true depth" and notching.

The Strike Doubling would be the flat, shiny, thin ridge along some of the edges. There may be one or two others that look like flat steps.

However, there is a lot of "true depth" and notching involved, and some of what looks like a line near the edge of the top surface of a letter sure looks like examples of hub doubling on a lot of the VAM pics
