To me, the ear looks normal, but I am not an ear expert. Identifying by ear only is confusing to me. Just throwing my Two Cents in.

Try taking an image with the light source coming from about K6 (6:00).
That may highlight the bottom of the ear better.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

A mentioned about the lighting relocated. If this is contact on the coin, the lighting may reveal it was flattened by another coin contacting that area, or show it is raised on that area. Rotate the coin 180 degrees and lets see which it is? The lighting is showing a real low source on the left. (note the reflection on the lower SW corner. With the lighting higher above the coin, that area might not show. So it maybe a lighting issue being too low. Best to have the light at 12:00 over the coin, rather than far away to the coin. At the right light angle, my shadows can make me look 20 feet tall. Light can make break or break an image.

Thanks all, I'm not sure how to change the direction of my light source, as my USB microscope has many little LED lights placed in a circle, not just one big one.
