This coin has been in my unidentified box for some time. It is possibly Indian, but I haven't been able to find anything that resembles it in searches. Can anyone tell me what it is? It appears to be bronze, 14 mm in diameter, and 1.0 gr in weight. Thickness is 1.1 mm.
To wrap the topic back around to antiquity, Ottoman Adrana is the ancient Hadrianopolis/ Adrianople where Constantine defeated Licinius in 323 and where Valens was killed by the Goths in 378. The city is known today as Edirne.
Thank you @Kushanshah. The flow of information in this community never ceases to amaze me. This information adds another dimension to the coin. The relationship between the region and the defeat of Licinius, and the killing of Valens, would not have been apparent to me.
