I was at my job a few weeks ago and I happened to look at the floor in our back room and I found this. At first I only saw the three numerals so I thought it was just a token until I flipped the back. I've never even heard of 3 cent nickels before, especially on my time here at coin community.

Now what I'm asking is if there's any worth to this coin, this is the oldest and probably my favourite coin that I've ever collected.

Also, just for confirmation, everything on this coin looks to be PMD as well?

Thank you all!

Cool find on the ground for sure! Unfortunately only a $5-$10 coin in its condition.

Unusual find for sure, but worth little in this damaged condition.

What kind of back room was it? Maybe one of your coworkers lost it.

nss-52, I work at our local movie theatre, only 4 other people work with me besides my bosses. I actually was super pumped when I found this so I checked with all of them and all of them said it wasn't theirs! The backroom that we have stores all of our popcorn, bags, oil, salt, etc.

Our theatre is over 100 years old, and throughout the years our owners have bought lots of old pictures from movies and franchises, so maybe one of the coins fell out? It is very common for us to put things in the backroom, which is also located next to the projector room

i agree with VG details. since this is pretty much a common year and the coin is holed it really doesn't have collector value but a really cool find. you just dont see these laying around like that.

Excellent find, and a nice example aside from the hole. It would still be worthy of a place in my 7070, if I didn't already have one.
