This piece is currently up for auction at Stacks. I was curious to know if you guys think this piece is authentic or not. Graded "genuine cleaned" by PCGS. Waiting for you *cough* Gumer *cough*.

Is that mark below MARK raised or lowered? It looks raised from the picture and I wouldn't expect that on a genuine coin. There are some other stray bits of metal I would be concerned about. Or maybe they are scratches.

It's a counterfeit. I reported it to the dealer. This was the answer:

Thank you for pointing this out. Would you mind identifying the characteristic/s that make this piece counterfeit so we can share with PCGS?
