After looking through the Roadrunner collection of toned Morgans in last night's Regency auction (a couple of pieces were old friends), I came across this coin. Not sure who consigned it, but I remember it from a few years ago and always loved it. Put in what I considered a very weak bid, and when I woke up this morning.......I'd won it.
All thoughts and comments appreciated.

Beautiful coin, congrats! Hard to assess the surfaces through the toning, but I'd say MS-65.

MS65. Hard to evaluate the cheek with all the toning. But the breast of Eagle shows 2 or 3 deep marks.

Wow, it's a stunning coin, but 67+ seems high with that heavy bag mark on the eagle's breast.

MS66+ technical, maybe a 67. My guess is they gave it that 1/2-1 point boost for "eye appeal"...(toning). Which to this day I don't understand, toning can change for better or worse!!

Still, nice coin and congrats!

From the images provided, I would have guessed MS-66.
The hit on the eagle's breast is heavily accentuated in the True View, I don't recall it being close to that from the images I saw several years ago (back then it was in a MS-67 holder, there were no pluses).
Did I mention that it's got a green bean?

They don't get much nicer than that.

Cool . Funny how that works . True View PCGS pics always seem to show nicest features and miss some of the scratches so I'll say MS 65 plus and very pretty coin though I wouldn't be surprised if it graded higher

Has the reverse not been cleaned? I see lots of straight line scratches that look like cleaning scratches.

Thanks Zurie, I didn't know that. Do these hurt the grade? The overall grade to me looks about MS65.
