1949 German Pfennig - Wide Spread Doubled Die?

Bought this one on ebay and spent a chunk of change, probably more than I should have. I wanted to have an aluminum coin doubled die, and from the listing pics it looked like a wide spread. But the more I look at it I think maybe it might just be Machine Doubling. The doubling on the date looks like Machine Doubling, but elsewhere more like a real doubled die.

Undoubtedly a doubled die, nice pick up!

Machine Doubling would be flat and decrease the size and thickness of the design elements. The doubling on your coin is clearly rounded and the size of the elements has increased.
