Ray pushed the lens out to 270mm from the camera. The lens is 4.5 inches from the coin. Take a look at this. focus still room to move from the camera. the image is still incredible.

Ray added more length. I would say its by its about at its limit. if I played around with focus. I think I could get it a bit better. quite a lens.

Tell me more about your lens Rocky. Is it a enlarging lens? What size is the threaded mount 39, 42? What MM lens is this? I only have one enlarging lens. Looks like a nice one expensive? Just curious. TYIA

Gluggo This is not a enlarger lens. this is a inspection lens. They are being grabbed up fast. this is a very good price for this lens. Gluggo you would have to build form attachment rings. Ray or Myself can tell you how to mount this lens. John1 yes john I was trying to see. if I could get this lens sharper by stopping down the aperture. this lens performs best at almost wide open. see john I am trying to push this lens to its limits.

Gluggo you or anyone purchasing these lens is taking a chance. so keep that in mind. Gluggo I am going to reverse mount a 75 mm Rodenstock apo D2. lets see what it can do.

Gluggo here is a quick image taken with a Rodenstock 75apo D-2 reversed. this is just to show you it can be done using and enlarger lens reversed. another American Nickle doubled FS. I did this quick, my gear is way to loose. the slights movement is large on the monitor screen. when I get my focuser mounted solid. I can easily improve this. actually the rodenstock is more sensitive. Gluggo so with this said you can do the same with an enlarger lens. when I get everything down solid I will show you.
