Happy Monday everyone!
I came across this over the weekend for my hoard of '82s, it was mislabeled being from the Mexico mint and I was able to jump on it.
NG Guatemala coins within this date period for any denomination are super scarce, probably only trumped by Chile which seem theoretical to me as they never come up. Mexico, Peru, and Bolivia are rather common. For 1782 NG, I've seen couple beat up 8R, a couple holed 1R, I have a decent low-end 1/2R, never seen a 2R, and this is the first 4R I've seen pop up. 4R, of course, are the scarcest of the denominations anyways for all the mints of 1782 in general.
Anyways, the coin is en route so I can weigh and measure it. I realize that it's likely been cleaned, but beggars can't always be choosers too and cleaned silver of this vintage isn't uncommon either.
But I just wanted to see if there are any red flags in the pics I might have missed regarding authenticity?
Thanks!
