Sell in a rising market if you have already made a paper profit.
Buy in a falling market provided that
you have spare discretionary money to spend.

Counter intuitive, that's what Warren Buffett does.

Event horizon:
There two CV-19 vaccines in advanced stages of testing one from Oxford University in the U.K. the other from a drug company in the U.S.
Opinions are that if completely successful after wide scale double blind testing, it will take about one year after completion of the testing for those vaccines to be made available for wide scale public use.

What does that mean for the silver investors?
You have an event horizon of about one year to make your investment decisions.
Beyond which I am unable to offer a rational comment, right or wrong.

please don't take this as financial advice, however depends on the year (mintage year) but I believe american eagles at a premium of 8 dollar US on the market rate (currently on ebay), as for dealers no idea depends on there inventories.

As for how high this current run will be will depend on the Latin american and mexico production and Covid silver mine shut downs. As that has a way great affect on the supply and value of silver, industrial use is mainly now in phones (mircochips) if I'm not right and solar panels (that for the general market). If you are a long time collector then you will know the in and out of you particular coin or set of you stack/collect and only you will be better expert in that.

Sell some in this rally. But don't sell it all. Crazy can get crazier, a lot crazier. J P Morgan has a huge stash of physical silver and as the firm has bragged in the past that it's never lost on a silver trade it is in charge of the market. Not the mines, this Wall Street company. I expect silver to get smashed shortly but still stay at twenty plus. But I can be wrong. I don't work for JPM.

When silver goes up like this, personally, I find it harder to sell and let it go. When silver was cheap, I sold some to spice up a coin auction I put together. It did help attract some buyers.
That is probably the wrong thing to do but I know I'm not the only one that has sold low.

I have a friend who bought $5000 in a silver investment but does not actually have the silver in hand.
I don't know how those investments work exactly but I would never do it.
He was complaining how his $5000 investment went down to $3000 at one point.
If I were him today, I think I'd sell it and take my lumps or probably profit.
I think I'll give him a call and make him aware of the silver numbers today.
If I were him, I'd sell and set that money aside and buy physical silver with the money when the price drops again.
I myself, like having some silver when the price is high and hold onto it. It's the time that it has the most value in case I do have to sell I guess.
It is probably wrong thinking, I can't take my own advice.
I suppose one should have silver in some balanced holdings.
One part for bullion such circulated common silver coin, bars and rounds, and the other part having better numismatic premium.

Nothing wrong with a little profit taking now. But I also think I would hold on to some.

As far as what a dealer pays, you just have to ask. They tend to factor in what direction they think silver is going from here. So it can vary greatly. When silver hit $14 per 90% dollar face, I shopped around. Got offers of 12.5x face, 2 at 12x face, and one at 10x face. I passed on all of them.

Considering I can't really explain why silver is gaining now...I definitely can't say how high it's gonna get. I just hope I can successfully move mine before it crashes.

Possibly due to the massive printing taking place...I have some $150/oz. silver but I'm not selling any ;)

This is constant dilemma....

If I like design of some bullion coin and want it, but suddenly the silver goes up.
From one hand it sucks to spend more for the same
from other hand, if I will wait, it will simply will be sold out
