Hi guys, I found this coin here and it seems odd. Not sure if its worth anything but sure is smooth on one side, not sure if you can do this with a tool or this is s a mint error? What do you think? Thanks!

I see, thank you for letting me know. Can you please explain how you can tell its PMD? So I would not bother you more if I find something non standard? Just wondering if there is a criteria or list of damages that are certainly PMD and those that are mint damage? Thank you !!

The question you need to ask is "Can this happen during the minting process?" not "How did this happen?"

There are a billion different ways a coin can be damaged post minting, but a finite number of ways it can be done during the minting process.
