Someone payed for gas at my favorite convenience store with a roll of 1997 P halves... Lucky for me the clerk saves all of them for me... Now I am thinking this is a die crack but thought I would check... Also there are 7 of them in the roll with the same crack...

It is a die crack in a common area.

I've seen lots of halves and quarters with a die cracks like this at the base of the bust.
