I was doing a search on bicentennial material earlier today and came across a piece that I wanted to make sure CCF'ers were aware of! If you've been in the market for a "rare" circulated US bicentennial quarter and were looking to limit your financial outlay to no more than $8,000 (!), then have I found the perfect offering for you!
Listed as "Rare" by the seller, it's a circulated example struck by the Philadelphia Mint - one of just 809,784,016 produced!
This
Etsy seller must be on a phishing trip as he/she is offering an incredibly common coin that no collector with any knowledge (or a
Red Book) would ever purchase for more than 25 cents! It does include free shipping, however! So, it's not all bad!
You can find the listing here:
Etsy Bicentennial Quarter Hurry! Apparently 20 shoppers have it in their cart waiting to checkout!
If that one doesn't work for you, I noticed two others - one for $2,000 and one for $5,000.
Etsy can be such an amazing place to browse.
