I was doing a search on bicentennial material earlier today and came across a piece that I wanted to make sure CCF'ers were aware of! If you've been in the market for a "rare" circulated US bicentennial quarter and were looking to limit your financial outlay to no more than $8,000 (!), then have I found the perfect offering for you!

Listed as "Rare" by the seller, it's a circulated example struck by the Philadelphia Mint - one of just 809,784,016 produced!

This Etsy seller must be on a phishing trip as he/she is offering an incredibly common coin that no collector with any knowledge (or a Red Book) would ever purchase for more than 25 cents! It does include free shipping, however! So, it's not all bad!

You can find the listing here: Etsy Bicentennial Quarter Hurry! Apparently 20 shoppers have it in their cart waiting to checkout!

If that one doesn't work for you, I noticed two others - one for $2,000 and one for $5,000. Etsy can be such an amazing place to browse.

Etsy is jammed with crap like that. I saw an "Ultra-Rare 1964 Jefferson nickel" (yeah, only 1.1 BILLION minted) in average circulated condition for only $3,000.

Here are some other bargains there....

With over 800 million produced, and at $8,000 per coin, that works at $6.4 trillion. The US taxpayer can easily afford that - the total US debt is more than triple.

So rush out and buy yours!
Unique opportunity! You only get one Bicentennial!

Pity I can't sell my grandmother - she died way back in 1948.

Nice site for homemade stuff like jewelry, etc... Bad site for coins, (unless its a real coin dealer...)
