I think that a lot of it sells for between 8x and 12x the face value for 90% coins, but my info is a couple months old. Last time I bought was at 9.5x

You'd be lucky to get 8X face at a dealer these days. Your best bet would be to put them on the CCF BUY thread and ask 10X face.

When you say 10-11 ounces remember that silver is priced in troy ounces (~31.1g/oz).

In my area, dealers pay 5-6x face value but turn around selling them for 11x face value! Best is to sell to other collectors either on ebay or on this site and others. I recently sold some 90% silver for 9-10x.

Its one of those things, you cannot buy silver much when its low because nobody will sell, then you cannot sell silver much when silver is high because nobody will buy.

I think this is why I don't bother with buying bullion and stocking up on silver. I guess if the opportunity arises, I would but I don't hunt for the deal.
