Numista has 2 obverse types for the 2007 coin. I have 1 coin and no idea which obverse is which. Apparently the font is different. I find it really frustrating when users upload varieties but don't post images on the page showing the difference. Arghhh...
Is there a kind Coin Community member who can post images or a link to the differences? I tried Googling for half an hour but no joy.

Thanks

I don't know the answer, however I too, find it really frustrating when users upload varieties but don't post images on the page showing the difference.

I'm also annoyed at reference catalogue compilers who list varieties but don't explain what the variety is or how to determine it. This lack is a key feature of the KM World catalogues.

@pertinax - I do believe the fault lies with Numista. It seems to be based on a user contribution system similar to Wikipedia however at least Wikipedia has a reference section at the bottom. It would be quite easy for Numista to create a rule that all listed varieties must be supported by clear images and/or measurements. Many contributors do this which is great however for those that don't, they are simply wasting a lot of other peoples time even if they mean well. It would be easy to have a moderator for each section and any new varieties get vetted before being uploaded. The use of such subjective terms as large, small etc can also be meaningless, especially if one has only 1 coin and nothing to compare it with!
Oh well,
that's my rant for the day! Back to coin sorting!
