1994 Kennedy Half Rainbow Toned - Legit?

I found this coin on a roll hunt and it has a lot of different toning along with a rainbow following the rim. However, I am curious if there is a way to tell if someone did this with chemicals/heat or if the toning came by a more "legitimate" process. Posted pics below.

(Also, side note: the bank told me that due to the coin shortage vendors are starting to use half dollars in place of quarters, and I can no longer order half dollars boxes for now. Anyone who roll hunts halfs run into this too?)

Agree. Appears heat may have been applied, and who knows what else. Unless I really needed fifty cents, I'd keep it as an interesting specimen.

Yes,looks like heat has been applied to the middle of the coin on both sides.
