I track a lot of auctions on Teletrade and even bid once in a while. Be carefull to include the 10% Buyers Premium when considering you bid. ebay is generally cheaper when buying the modern Slabs but Teletrade has some bargins in the World coin section.

I think they rasied the buyer's premium to 12%. You need to add that on to your bid price plus dollars for S&H to get the true "out the door" price.

I have bid, won, and lost on Teletrade. I would advise to try to snipe near the end of the auction...usually at 10:00 PM EST. Also check out prices realized. These figures include the 12% buyers fee and will give you an idea what the market is bearing for a given coin.

Their pics are not as good as Heritage, but pretty decent none the less.

Never tried it, most likely never will. I buy coins in-person.

Wait until you get involved with the darkside.
Pruchasing coins from outside of ones own country can become rather difficult.

Most dealers in any country mostly stock their own countrys coins and have rather limited experience with coins from anywhere else, unles of course they happen to collect darkside coins themselves.

That leaves on line auctions; on line shops; and having good mates who own coin shops in the country you are interested in to select coins for you.
(Thankx Bigfella) or friends who will assist you in your selections

(Thankx to Lim as well)

So collecting Lincolns is much easier in the States than it is in France.
