I agree. I would judge this coin, from this photo, to be a replica strike of a cob coin. It's far too shiny, the strike is too neat, and the castles and lions look odd to me.

This is a 1 real coin that I own, from the Mexico City mint as a Spanish Colonial mint. Note the rounded balls on the ends of the cross- that's a good sign this coin was minted in Mexico City.
In size,, it is in between an US nickel and a quarter.
