I might be able to do better for the type, but this one was a good price and has some luster. I know nickel is a tough metal to strike, so I'm wondering how much of the mushiness in the bust is wear versus weak strike.

Thoughts on whether this is Near or Far Rim?

The leaf tips and rim look nice, this series is notorious for weak strikes, and almost impossible to grade without the coin in hand. Looks anywhere between AU to low MS. Cannot speak to the cleaned comment, without seeing the lustre in hand.

Thanks for the comments. The second set of pics are what I used to purchase it. I do believe that my pics/lighting are really enhancing abrasions that would not normally be seen even with a low-power loupe. However, I can't say from viewing it in hand that it has never been cleaned. The obverse is a little suspect to me because it doesn't match the luster of the reverse. I also suspect that the obverse is showing a little bit of a weak strike. Thanks again.
