I started off with some pennies, so your start was better then mine.

I love the florins, the only thing now is to keep going.

I think florins have to be one of the best coins minted, they just look cool :D

I think it also that they are silver have a higher denomination and are just plain cool.

I will find out if I wasted 13.00 on these coins this weekend,,I found them on ebay,,all one lot,,I had to buy them all to get the three and six pence coins,, the copper coins are toned.

some nice coins metalman in those pics lim showed us that 1927 canberra florin has to be one of the nicest and best loking silver coin ever made , which I think does not have the recognition it deserves here in australia

The 1927 one florin is on my list of MUST have Australian coins. My problem is there are SO many MUST haves on my list but I am making headway and with my wife actively buying as well our Aussie collection is growing in leaps and bounds! I had no idea being coin POOR could be so much fun!!!

the people who designed the coin and made the master die and cut the dies were truelly skilled craftsmen
