Found this is a 500 ct bag of wheats I bought being its rusted and weighs 2.8 grams something isn't right any thoughts on it

Looks like a worn, rough from being found out doors, painted cent. Now just a Wheat cent.

yes, either paint or an old plated cent.. with the coating wearing off.

You can test it with a magnet but it looks painted and flaking off . that's not rust it's old copper .

You can see the copper on the edges. I agree, it's either paint or an older plating. Wheaties are generally worth 3 cents each if you can get it. This one? 3 cents.
