Is Die Rotation of Canadian 1964 10 cent coins determined clockwise (CW) or counterclockwise (CCW)?
I believe this or similar subjects have been up on the forum numerous times. If so, I am sorry if it is boring for some of you.
However, I could not find the info I am looking for explained in an easy and not in a round about way.
Please assume that medal or coinage alignments do not play a part as these are a known setting. Die rotation I am asking for is fractional and is outside either of these preset boundaries.
My questions are these:
1 Is the amount of Die rotation degrees decided with
the coin, obv up = 0°, coin facing you?

2 Is the coin rotated from 0° CW or CCW to get the
approximate die rotation in degrees?

3 What is the minimum rotation required for it to
become recognized as a rotated die?

4 would it be correct to say, based on the image,
that this 1964 10 cent coin is about 240+ degrees
CW rotated?

Any comment to clarify this issue are welcome and much appreciated.
Thank you all.

I always have seen people go with the clockwise rotation, so this coin is around 240 degrees, most collectors seems to want 90 or 180 degrees or upset dies

Mint tolerances are between 12 and 15 degrees, usually anything more than 20 degrees usually is recognized as having a rotated die. Highest premiums are for 90/270 degree and 180 degree die rotations.
