I found this while looking through an old family button box and have enjoyed piecing together as much info as I can, but would certainly welcome any additional thoughts from CCF.
Huse & Carelton, out of Boston Massachusetts, seems to have been a depression-era manufacturer of kitchen stove and residential heater parts and repair tools. As my great-grandfather was a plumber, I think that this advertising tag was likely brazed onto one of his tools. The radius of curvature of the remnant braze suggests that this tool was 8-10 mm in diameter; however, the specific tool is still unknown to me. It doesn't look to me like this tag was attached to a flat surface.
Also interesting is that this tag was made by The Green Duck Company. According to the Antique Advertising Expert's website:
Quote:
The Green Duck Company started in 1906 in Chicago, IL. The Green Duck Co. produced all sorts of advertising items including beer tap knobs, signs, buttons, and pinback style buttons for many years.
