XF-40. I agree, a little verdicare and you'll have a good looking coin, at a good price.

Sorry for the double comment, but PCGS says this coin is worth around $125-$150, is that an accurate price? If so then considering a little verdicare is really all this coin needs, then you got an excellent deal.

That's PCGS retail pricing. I've rarely payed that even for slabbed. For raw, sometimes up to 50%, depending on the coin.

I paid $55 for it. Got $2.75 or so in ebay bucks back as well.

decent coin but not XF45. I have the obverse at XF40 and reverse VF35. I tend to lean to the obverse on a split grade so i'll call it net XF40 but I would not spend full XF $$. you got a good price for it

EF-40 and I think you are correct, the gunk should come off. I'd do an Acetone bath first.
