HI All - New(Ish) Collector Here (With Coin Question)

silverstash119 Valued Member United States 182 Posts	Posted 08/26/2020 9:09 pm Hi everyone, I think thanks to quarantining due to COVID I've found a new hobby. After sifting through a bunch of coins, I pulled out all the wheat pennies, and happened to come across a 1923 Canadian King George penny that seems to be in really good shape. I'm considering sending it in to PCGS for grading - I just signed up as a silver member with PCGS (but it seems I may need to be a gold member for them to grade older world coins?) What's everyone's opinion? Is this coin worth grading? I understand it's one of the more rare Canadian pennies, and in my inexperienced opinion, it seems to be in good shape. Thanks! It looks F-VF to me judging from the pics. NGC's world coin pricing lists that at $32-35 US. I'm not sure of PCGS' price but it's probably similar. Costs for slabbing it and shipping wouldn't make it worth it from an investment standpoint. Report this Post to the Staff
