Proofs are not minted in Denver. Photos aren't the best but your cent may have been minted with a fresh obverse die and a later state reverse die. I am seeing a normal business strike cent.

No proofs were minted in Denver. Probably toned or an EDS coin. Spendable.

Looks like one of the ones that may have had some zinc that contaminated the copper plating. The call them brass cents, which they are not. But stand out in a container of cents because of the brass color:
